who i am
Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Helen Hodges and as the owner of Yin Yang Designs, I offer a variety of design-based services, from architecture to graphic design, and everything in between. Please spend some time browsing my website to find out more about my background and skills.
I am a Pacific Northwest native and I truly love the beauty of this region. I draw inspiration from my friends and family, nature, my dogs (and most other animals), and from architecture - particularly historical architecture. I have loved the arts and handmade crafts ever since I was a kid... It all began with seascapes drawn in Crayola crayon and fashion design with Mr. Sketch markers. At age 13 I began taking pictures and have continued to do so on an amateur level ever since. I have enjoyed many creative activities in the past including beading, jewelry making, embroidery, knitting, sewing, painting, printmaking, scrapbooking, bookmaking, collage, and candle making, but one thing I always come back to is drawing.
